There are many
ways you can become a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. You can
help build a Habitat Home by filing out the
volunteer application. Or you can help by providing lunches for
the volunteers on site by contacting our lunch coordinator Anne
Marie Sanfier at
lunchdonor@hfhnc.org. This is always fun because you get a grand
tour of the house plus get to chat with the construction
volunteers.
From a lunch donor:
"from Sacred Heart Acadamy to our lunch coordination
Anne Marie Sanfier....we had approx 35 Freshman, Sophomore,
and Juniors deliver lunches to SHA volunteers, and about half of them
came to visit the site with their parents. Tom, as always (and he is
amazing), took the time to give them a tour of the house AND an intro to
Habitat. They were all very impressed. We had leftovers, but one of our
Seniors took extras with them y'day inasmuch as her Mom delivers food
each Sunday to a food pantry. All the food went to good use! Please keep
us in mind for any other lunch opportunities in late October, if you
have them!
Thank you both for continuing to keep SHA in mind for your service
needs! The girls abolsolutely love the experience...and their
teachers do, too!!"
