Construction
There are no specific skill requirements needed to be a construction site volunteer, except a willingness to work and learn. Habitat has a construction manager on the site, along with a dozen or more experienced staff volunteers who will provide on the job training and guidance.
HFHNC will provide lunch, however you may want to bring your own beverages coffee, water, soda, etc... To volunteer on the construction site you must first complete our online application. As the need arises for construction volunteers you will be contacted by our volunteer coordinator. At that time, you will be given details as to the work you'll be doing and directions to the site. Please come dressed appropriately for working on a construction site, i.e. work gloves, work boots (Sneakers are ok, but please, no dress shoes, crocs, sandals, etc), and comfortable work clothing. Expect to get dirty. HFHNC will provide lunch, however you may want to bring your own beverages coffee, water, soda, etc...
